Mr. Post has had a distinguished career working in many areas of the law and government. Josh worked his way through Southwestern Law School's night program while employed with the Los Angeles Mayor's Office, where he focused his advocacy on underprivileged youth and the expansion of after school programs throughout the City of LA.
Josh then took a position at the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office in the Justice System Integrity Division. There he helped investigate and prosecute police officer and government official misconduct. His cases ranged from drug crimes, domestic violence, officer involved shootings, and murder. He developed close working relationships with many Deputy District Attorneys and knows how to negotiate with and challenge prosecutors.
After serving at the DA's Office, Mr. Post accepted a prestigious law clerk position at the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California under the supervision and mentorship of Judge Otis D. Wright II. Josh worked under Judge Wright for more than two years and still enjoys a close mentor/mentee relationship with the judge.
After clerking, Josh accepted a unique teaching opportunity. He taught law to Mexican law students at the Universidad de Guanajuato in beautiful Guanajuato, Mexico. Así que, Josh habla español.
After a one-year hiatus as a university professor, Mr. Post accepted a position at the Los Angeles law firm of Wilson Elser Moskowitz Edelman & Dicker. Josh's clients included transportation, property management and insurance companies in personal injury cases. It was at this time Josh learned what it takes to win personal injury and insurance compensation cases.
Josh then accepted a position at the California Attorney General's Office where he focused on legal actions in California's prison system. Josh visited prisons throughout the state and advocated on behalf of the State of California in federal court on issues ranging from constitutional rights of prisoners to excessive use of force by correctional officers.
From 2013 - 2018, Mr. Post served on active military duty as a U.S. Navy JAG officer. As a JAG attorney, Josh worked on a wide array of cases. He defended service members accused of crimes, including many high-profile cases in our nation's capital and at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland.
After his time as a military lawyer, Josh worked as a prosecutor in the Orange County District Attorney's Office.
